It wasn't the green blood or the autopsy, it wasn't the briefing — it was telling Nightwing he needed to confirm the body that was found. And then having to watch him see it, and the costume. I didn't know the second Batgirl Cassandra Cain, but she was part of the Bat Family, one of Bruce's..
Even though there's no way to tell what happened to the actual Cassandra, assuming the worst.......
I stood in the Trophy hall - or I should say building, since it's really the GA Hall - for about an hour this morning. The statues were dusty. Some of the members I'm not familiar with, others have come back, others should be added... When things quiet down, I want to talk to Zee about adding some more statues.
For now, Cassandra's costume is in a box at our building, Jean's taken all the samples she needs from it and we managed to get it clean again. At the very least, her costume should be displayed. There's no excuse for the Justice League - for us to fall short with tradition and respect due to the circumstances. We can't forget.

I take it back. I don't want Iris here - not to be subjected to all this danger. I like thinking she's home, and safe with Wally and Bart.

I'm going to try and reinforce some buildings today that took a beating with the earthquake. Especially the east wing of the library and that huge old hotel/apartment building. With the rate that people are showing up we'll probably need the space.
Shouldn't take too long.
I made the kid down the hall put songs on my complimentary iPod from Best Buy. Yeah that's right, I'm hip now. Actually, I had to tell the kid to put some oldies on it and he said "Oh okay. 90's stuff, yeah I can do that." I had to correct him and stress that if he put any Bee Gees on it, he'd need to sleep with one eye open.
